Moon was originally a side project featuring two members of well-known Polish bands, Cezar (Christ Agony) and Doc (Vader). The first album was recorded with just those two and a guest keyboardist. The album was released by Pagan Records worldwide.

Musically Moon was a continuation of Christ Agony legacy – focused on its early period with dark, agressive and harsh black metal. Next year Moon signed menagerial contract with Massive Music which was followed by another recording session. By the time of “Satan’s Wept” Doc was gone and Cezar had recruited an entire new lineup. On “Satan’s Wept” they focused on fast-paced symphonic black metal, with plenty of double-bass drumming and layered keyboards atop typical black metal riffs. Cezar’s vocals were sometimes of the generic black metal shrieking but more often are a midrange growl reminiscent of Cronos of Venom. The album was released again by Pagan Records and licensed to Impact/System Shock for Europe and Avalon for Japan

Unfortunately the band didn’t play live until the summer of 1999 and disbanded soon thereafter , due to conflicts with their manager.

Ten years later Cezer decided to resurrect Moon. It was mostly due to his excess of musical ideas apart from Christ Agony and the need to show people the creation from previous decades. He was soon joined by Hexen (Hate drummer) and bass player Kriss (Hell United). May 2009 was the time of touring with Azarath, Hell United and Neolith. At that time the band started to compose fast death/black metal songs fort he third album. In October 2009 Moon signed the contract with Witching Hour for both reissueing first two albums and releasing new one. At the beginning of 2010 the band entered Sinquest Sound Studio in Lublin to record their third masterpiece which will see the light of the day in the second part of the year.

Before that, it’s a great chance to recall those first two albums, that were untouched by the destructive time and still sound so powerfully and hatefully as in 1997 and 1999.
