EXECUTIONER'S MASK - Despair Anthems CD
€14.00Hailing from equal parts Texas and Philadelphia, 2018’s ‘True Blue’ demo was gloomy and cavernous while weaving infectious hooks at every turn. Not too much sooner after, the group completed production on their Profound Lore debut “Despair Anthems”. The album features production from Jeff Zeigler (Kurt Vile, Nothing) and Ryan Schwabe (Big Thief, Algernon Caldweller) that remains both raw and satisfying throughout.

SIXX - Sister Devil CD
€8.00By now, Von’s impact on the development of black metal is undisputed, and their work is universally praised. Shortly after the release of Von’s “Satanic Blood” demo, the members of Von shifted their focus to another project that would come to be known as Sixx. The obscure “Sister Devil” demo, the only recording produced under the Sixx moniker, represents a distinctly different approach to music, but retains, nonetheless, many of the same elements that characterize the style of Von.

IRUKANDJI - Prey For Me I-V LP
€10.00Irukandji is the harsh noise project of Michael Page who is also the man behind the former power electronics project Fire in the Head and the current ambient/noise/industrial project Sky Burial. Out of the three Irukandji is certainly the harshest, but the least atmospheric as well.

FÄR - Salute LP
€15.00FÄR is a two piece future bass project hailing from Brakel, Belgium. An-Sofie De Meyer (vocals, sampler) and Tim De Gieter (beats, live synths, production) seamlessly blend pop vibes with darker trap and witch house aesthetics. The results are ominous sounding bass heavy tracks that grip you by the throat whilst dancing.

-
EPHEL DUATH - The Painter's Palette CD
€10.00There are not many metal bands I know out there that integrate jazz fusion so well into their sound as do Italian progressive metal band Ephel Duath.
-
OREN AMBARCHI - In The Pendulum's Embrace 2LP
€35.00There's almost a bluesy quality to Ambarchi's sound by this point: it's resolutely downbeat, yet never quite slips into the doom-laden, metallic sound he's recently immersed himself in. Instead, this is a music of meditative introspection, inhabiting dark corners. Very highly recommended.
